Originally from Québec City, I am fluently bilingual and have lived in Calgary since 2008. I've been a soldier; an academic; a senior political staffer in Ottawa; and worked in Alberta's energy industry. I am married to Zoë Kolbuc and we have three amazing daughters ages 7, 11 and 12.
I successfully completed the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3 course with Merit; French Wine Professional; Sommelier 1 and Canadian Wine Scholar course through Fine Vintage Ltd (James Cluer, MW). I am currently pursuing my Diploma in Wine (DipWSET) certification, and I work part-time at Vine Styles fine wine store in Calgary, Alberta - come see us in Kensington-Sunnyside!

I completed my first novel - a crime thriller - that I am shopping around to potential publishers, and working on another thriller in my spare time (ha!).
